  • About the Josh Frydenberg Scholarship

    This prestigious scholarship provides approximately 25% off school fees, offering financial assistance to families seeking a world class Jewish education at Bialik College. Scholarship recipients become part of a network of Josh Frydenberg Scholars, gaining access to mentoring from Josh and enrichment opportunities that foster meaningful connections and inspiring learning experiences.

    • Overall excellence in academics and personal endeavors
    • Demonstrates financial need (means tested)

    Terms and Eligibility

    The Josh Frydenberg Scholarship is open to internal and external students commencing Year 9 in 2027. The Scholarship will cover approximately 25% off your child's school fees from Year 9 through to Year 12.

    If a student currently receives a fee reduction of less than 25% off full fees, and is awarded the Josh Frydenberg Scholarship, their total fee reduction may increase up to a maximum of 25% full fees.

    Students already receiving a fee reduction of 25% or more will not receive any additional fee reduction through the scholarship. However, if successful, they will still be awarded the prestigious scholarship and have access to the mentorship and opportunities associated with the program.

    Overview of Application Process

    • Part A - Financial Disclosure Form completed by parents/guardians
    • Part B - Written Response completed by student
      The student is required to write a response of no more than two pages addressing the following questions:
      Why would you like to be named a Josh Frydenberg Scholar?
      What impact will this award have on your life beyond Bialik?
      Why do you think you are deserving of this Scholarship?
      Essay in font size 12
    • Part C - Participation and performance across a range of school activities including Leadership, Sport, Visual and Performing Arts, General Academics, Communication and Community Involvement will be reviewed by the selection committee.
